Qualifications

• 2+ years supervisory law enforcement experience.
• Must possess and maintain State of Georgia POST certification within the first six months of employment.
• High school diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Custody, security, and care of youth per policies and procedures.
• Oversees staff during youth transfers between facilities.
• Maintains order by intervening with youth to ensure safety and discipline.
• Provides direct support and structure for detained youth focused on safety and rehabilitation.
• Supervises subordinate staff and ensures adherence to department policies.
• Manages administrative and human resource activities of staff.
• Implements emergency plans and procedures.
• Oversees contraband handling, youth activities, and head counts.
• Ensures compliance with laws and regulations for safety of youth and staff.
