Job summary

The Youth Connection Career Academies (TYCCA) seeks a Job Developer & Employment Training Coordinator to create employment opportunities for youth and OSY in Detroit. You will liaise with employers, arrange placements, and support participants with job readiness and career planning.

You will develop work-based learning experiences, lead workshops, and monitor outcomes to meet WIOA and contractual targets while traveling across Detroit and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
• Minimum two years of workforce development, job development, employer relations, career services, youth development, or related experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel to employer sites, training locations, community events, and participant activities throughout Detroit and surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with employers and industry partners to build a pipeline of opportunities.
• Match participants with employment, apprenticeships, training, internships and other opportunities; coordinate referrals and placements.
• Provide employment readiness coaching and lead workshops, mock interviews, and career events.
