Job summary

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) seeks a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to work in an inpatient pediatric behavioral health environment in Malvern, PA. You will establish therapeutic rapport, support and instruct youth in self-help and coping skills, and implement treatment plan goals under clinical supervision.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, guiding daily activities to enhance social skills, and redirecting inappropriate behaviors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2 years direct care experience or a Bachelor’s degree with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to work with children/adolescents in behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a therapeutic rapport with adolescents.
• Assist and instruct individuals in self-help, coping skills, and behavioral interventions.
• Implement treatment plan goals and objectives as directed.
• Engage in daily activities to promote social skills development.
