Urban Street Angels, Inc. in La Mesa, CA is seeking a Residential Services Coordinator to provide peer support and engagement for Transitional Age Youth in the HOY program.

The role focuses on mentoring youth, navigating housing resources, and promoting stability through trauma-informed care. Responsibilities include facilitating groups, coordinating with case managers and clinicians, and ensuring data collection and reporting.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Lived experience or familiarity with challenges common among transition-age youth (TAY) required.
• Peer Support Specialist training recognized by CA or willingness to complete within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of community resources and local support networks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.

Responsabilidades

• Build trusting, supportive relationships with youth and young adults experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
• Foster a safe, nonjudgmental environment promoting empowerment and self-determination.
• Utilize lived experience to enhance engagement and interventions.
• Provide administrative and intervention support to program staff (agendas, data collection, meetings, groups).
• Support collection and analysis of program data for reporting.
• Connect youth to community resources (shelter, housing, healthcare, education, employment).
• Help participants develop individualized goals related to housing stability and life skills.
• Navigate daily living, budgeting, self-care, and healthy relationships.
