Serenity Mesa Recovery Center in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Housing Behavioral Support Specialist to foster a safe, supportive living environment at Villa de Serenity. The role focuses on building positive tenant relationships, enforcing guidelines, and coordinating with staff to maintain orderly housing operations.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of experience with at-risk youth, with preference for experience in transitional living or group homes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year experience with at-risk populations, preferably adolescents and young adults.
• Experience managing a transitional living, group home, or similar environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established policies and procedures for the housing program.
• Ensure tenants arrive by curfew.
• Ensure tenants sign in and out upon departure or arrival.
• Perimeter checks to ensure no intruders or unwanted guests, and proper handling of drug paraphernalia.
• Oversee property and buildings for tenant safety and security.
• Care for and maintain livestock and livestock dwellings.
• Perform room inspections when tenant is absent during shift.
• Send daily shift communication in Teams.
• Allow access to meds upon request and record access times.
• Clean and sanitize all common areas of the main house (bathrooms, kitchen, and living spaces).
• Administer UAs and breathalyzer tests to tenants.
• Provide support services to tenants as needed.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies, food, etc.
