Job summary

The YMCA is seeking a full-time Youth & Family Lead to support program direction, implement curriculum, and supervise child watch while coordinating family activities and events in the San Antonio area. This role focuses on delivering a quality experience to children and their families, aligning with core YMCA values, and assisting in staff hiring, training, and scheduling to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of two years of college or three to four years of equivalent experience working in youth and family programming is preferred.
• Must establish harmonious relationships by promoting caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
• Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate program activities.
• Must understand nonprofit YMCA structure and volunteer/staff partnership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate youth and family activities and programming with the Director.
• Plan and oversee family nights, parents’ night out, home school program and events.
• Work within budget requirements and manage department records.
• Assist in interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
• Write the schedule and assist in payroll approvals.
• Maintain risk management and safety protocols for participants and staff.
