Job summary

YMCA of Greater San Antonio is seeking a Site Lead at Mays Family YMCA in Stone Oak to oversee game and practice locations in the San Antonio area. The role includes managing times, refereeing when needed, ensuring equipment readiness, and enforcing YMCA policies while communicating with families and coaches.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Understand the basic principles of sports programs (basketball, baseball, soccer, football, volleyball).
• Demonstrate diplomatic interpersonal skills and the ability to promote caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
• Ability to relate to children and parents while maintaining a professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Will manage game and practice times and referee games when needed.
• Ensure sites have needed equipment before games and practices; ensure equipment is taken down at day’s end.
• Monitor and respond to horseplay; promote participant safety in line with YMCA policies.
• Develop and maintain communication with parents, players and coaches; enforce YMCA rules.
• Maintain regular communication with Sports Director regarding site needs and issues.
