Job summary

The YMCA of Greater San Antonio is seeking a Sports Site Lead to oversee game and practice locations, ensuring safety and smooth operations. You will support youth programs, manage schedules, and coordinate with parents, players, and coaches while upholding YMCA standards.

Responsibilities include equipment checks, enforcing policies, attending trainings, and acting as a reliable role model in a fast-paced environment across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and able to drive to multiple sites.
• Knowledge of basic rules for basketball, baseball, soccer, football and volleyball.
• Ability to relate to children and parents with diplomacy.
• Commitment to YMCA policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage game and practice times and referee games when needed.
• Ensure sites have equipment and that it is stored after use.
• Know sport rules and complete required training.
• Promote participant safety and engagement per YMCA policies.
• Maintain communication with parents, players and coaches.
• Enforce YMCA rules and policies at all times.
• Monitor schedule changes and update relevant parties.
• Coordinate with the Sports Director on site needs and issues.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain site safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and a courteous, professional demeanor.
• Attend all trainings and meetings related to the role.
