Job summary

The Y in Central Maryland is seeking a Youth and Family Program Associate to deliver high-quality services to members, guests, and program participants, including supervising children and supporting family-centered activities. You will promote a safe, nurturing environment and actively engage youth through programs such as Familyhood Crafts and Little Movers.

Qualifications

• Youth and Family Program Associate will meet the qualifications set forth by the Y in Central Maryland.
• Associates shall be of good character and reputation; capable of carrying out assigned responsibilities; capable of accepting training and supervision; and capable of communicating effectively both orally and in writing as applicable to the job responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent services to members, guests, and program participants in the Y center, on the phone, and through email exchange.
• Engage with children by greeting them by name, guiding activities, and monitoring safety and participation.
• Maintain a clean and disinfected environment for children’s safety.
• Follow Y policies and code of conduct; foster positive interactions.
• Lead activities and support youth programming as needed.
• Maintain paperwork including sign in/out, attendance data, and incident reports.
