Job summary

The Y in Central Maryland seeks a Stay and Play Associate to deliver excellent services to members, guests, and program participants. You will supervise children whose parents are involved in activities, maintain a safe environment, and support their social and emotional development.

Responsibilities include engaging children, guiding activities, ensuring safety, and maintaining records. You will collaborate with the team to uphold Y policies and provide a positive community experience.

Qualifications

• Provides excellent services to members, guests, and program participants.
• Communicates with children and parents/guardians effectively.
• Engages with children and guides them to activities while monitoring behavior.

Responsibilities

• Report to work slightly before shift to receive instructions.
• Provide excellent services in the Y center, over phone, and via email.
• Engage with members and participants to build positive relationships.
• Create a safe, engaging environment supporting social and emotional development.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety for children.
• Handle sign-in/out, behavior, and incident reports.
• Enforce policies and code of conduct.
• Lead in resolving conflicts and addressing center concerns.
