Job summary

Roads to Success Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Activity Specialist to plan and deliver enrichment programs for youth at NYC sites. The position is onsite, up to 20 hours per week, with a schedule based on program needs.

You will work five days per week in NYC public schools and community sites, facilitating engaging activities, maintaining safety, and documenting attendance and lesson plans. Evening or weekend may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent; additional degree preferred.
• Experience: youth program experience preferred.
• Ability: plan and lead structured, engaging activities for youth.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate high-quality enrichment activities within the assigned specialty area.
• Develop structured, age-appropriate lesson plans and activity plans aligned with program goals.
• Deliver activities that are engaging, interactive, culturally responsive, and accessible to participants with varying abilities.
• Prepare materials, equipment, and program spaces prior to activities and ensure appropriate cleanup following programming.
• Adapt activities based on participant interests, developmental needs, attendance, and program circumstances.
• Incorporate opportunities for participants to demonstrate creativity, leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, and skill development.
• Support culminating projects, showcases, performances, tournaments, exhibitions, or other demonstrations of participant learning when applicable.
