Job summary

Alexander Youth Network is seeking a Youth Engagement Navigator to support the On Ramp Resource Center for young adults aged 16–24. You’ll help engage youth, assess needs, connect them with resources, and follow up on progress in a welcoming, inclusive setting.

The role involves building partnerships with community organizations, attending events to raise awareness, and delivering workshops to empower youth through mentorship and guidance at The Relatives program in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years experience in the human service field, working with young adults is preferred
• Valid NC Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Engage with and support young people in the On Ramp Resource Center and community.
• Assess needs, provide appropriate referrals and resources, and follow up on progress.
• Develop relationships with youth‑serving organizations and attend community events to promote services.
• Create workshops and presentations to engage youth and broaden outreach.

What You’ll Do:

The Youth Engagement Navigator is responsible for supporting the engagement and coordination of young adults in the On Ramp Resource Center which serves as a drop-in center for young adults 16-24 years of age. The Relatives - On Ramp Resource Center is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.

The Youth Engagement Navigator is responsible for engaging with, and providing support to, young people in the On Ramp Resource Center and in our community. This includes offering support to young people by assessing their needs, providing appropriate referrals and resources, and following up on their progress.

The Youth Engagement Navigator will also be responsible for developing relationships with youth-serving organizations, attending community events to promote the organization's services, and creating workshops/presentations to engage youth.
