Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) seeks a Youth Engagement and Incentive Manager to lead engagement, recreation, enrichment, and incentive programs at an assigned secure facility. You will supervise staff, coordinate incentive systems, and drive positive youth development and rehabilitative outcomes.

Responsibilities include planning comprehensive programming, monitoring effectiveness, maintaining records, and collaborating with facility leadership to ensure engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and relevant program experience required.
• Knowledge of adolescent development and positive youth engagement strategies preferred.
• Experience in juvenile justice, residential or secure facility settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement, and oversee youth engagement, recreation, enrichment, and structured leisure programs in a secure facility.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate facility-based Youth Engagement staff.
• Coordinate incentive and recognition programs and ensure eligibility and consistency.
• Monitor program participation, feedback, incidents, and effectiveness to identify trends and improvements.
• Collaborate with facility leadership to integrate engagement initiatives into operations and safety protocols.
