Liliʻuokalani Trust in Hilo seeks a Youth Engagement Specialist I to foster safe, welcoming environments for youth across LT programs. You will support engagement, assist with program facilitation, and help maintain reliable operations within established structures.

The role emphasizes building trust, supporting youth participation, and coordinating enrollment, while working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver wraparound supports for youth and ʻohana.

Qualifications

• Two year degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Psychology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of youth program experience.
• Commitment to Native Hawaiian communities and youth.
• Strong interpersonal skills; team player; follows protocols.
• Valid driver's license and TB clearance; First Aid/CPR preferred.

Responsabilités

• Build respectful relationships with youth, families, and community members.
• Encourage youth participation and belonging in LT programs.
• Model healthy relationships and effective communication.
• Respond to behavioral escalations with appropriate follow-up.
• Support youth voice in program development and decisions.
• Assist with intake, enrollment, and front desk tasks as needed.
