Job summary

Liliʻuokalani Trust in Hawaii seeks a Youth Engagement Specialist I to create welcoming environments for youth across LT programs. You will build trusted relationships, support youth participation, and assist with program facilitation and logistics.

The role requires a two-year degree and at least one year of youth experience, with a schedule of Monday to Friday 2pm-6pm and occasional after-hours coverage as needed.

Qualifications

  • Two year degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Psychology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with youth in a program, school, community, or residential setting
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with Native Hawaiian communities and youth
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to a privately owned automobile with insurance
  • TB clearance required; First Aid and CPR/AED preferred; background check required

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain respectful, positive relationships with youth, families, and community members
  • Support youth participation and engagement in LT programs and services
  • Assist with participant intake, enrollment, and welcoming of new youth and families
  • Assist with data entry and program logistics, including front desk, phone coverage, and documentation
