Job summary

Covenant House Missouri in St. Louis seeks a Youth Development Specialist to provide goal-oriented support, direct care, and supervision for youth aged 16 to 24 in the Residential Center.

You will work with a team to empower youth toward stability, while promoting Housing First, trauma-informed care and positive youth development. The role involves leading activities, administering medications, documenting progress, and coordinating with the program team to create engaging, safe experiences for

Qualifications

• AA degree in health and/or human services or related field.
• High School diploma or GED with 1+ year in youth services.
• College degree preferred and relevant experience is valued.
• Knowledge of youth mental health, trauma and homelessness services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to youth in the Residential Center.
• Ensure facility safety and maintain clean, secure environments.
• Lead or participate in group activities and life skills training.
• Administer and record resident medication as required.
• Complete daily log notes and youth records documentation.
• Assist with community-based and leisure activities planning.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings as required.
