Job summary

Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) is hiring a Community Schools Coordinator to support students and families at Cardozo Education Campus. The CSC will collaborate with school leaders to launch wrap-around services and strengthen partnerships to meet student needs.

The role involves data collection, budget management, and reporting while engaging with community stakeholders to promote youth development and education equity in DC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or significant experience in youth development.
• Minimum 2 years of youth development experience.
• School-based experience.
• 40 hours per week, flexible schedule; some weekends/evenings may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison with school administrators, students, and staff to ensure partnership quality.
• Develop wrap-around resources for youth success (health, nutrition, mental health, leadership).
• Coordinate with partners to communicate needs and guide programming.
• Develop recruitment strategies and referral systems with onsite case manager.
• Record weekly data in the ETO system to monitor outcomes.
• Manage program budget and ensure funder compliance.
• Prepare reports documenting program efforts for funders.
• Participate in coalitions and advocacy efforts for DC Community Schools.
• Enhance social media presence to promote programming.
