Job summary

Latin American Youth Center, Inc. seeks a College and Career Coordinator to provide out-of-school-time college and career readiness programming for high school students in Washington, DC.

The role blends direct student advising with program coordination, partnership building, data management, and administrative duties at Coolidge High School during the school year and a summer program in partnership with DC SYEP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of 1-year experience in youth work, school-based programming, and/or college and career readiness programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the college and career readiness out-of-school-time program at Coolidge High School and in the community during the school year and summer.
• Lead student recruitment and enrollment during the school year and summer in partnership with school staff, the Program Director, AmeriCorps members, and DC SYEP.
• Provide onsite guidance, mentorship, and support to AmeriCorps members assigned to the program.
• Deliver engaging college and career readiness workshops using Passport Curriculum and develop additional workshops based on student feedback.
