Common Wealth Development, Inc. is seeking a motivated, energetic team member to join our Youth Workforce Development team in Madison.

The role focuses on delivering employment and financial education, job placement, and mentoring for teens facing barriers to employment. You will build relationships with school partners and local businesses to support Experiential Learning programs through Madison Metropolitan School District, with evening and weekend hours as required.

Qualifications

• Experience and commitment to working with teens from low-income homes.
• Experience with teens from racially diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of workforce development as part of community/economic development.
• Commitment to racial justice and health equity.
• Leadership experience.
• 2+ years coordinating multiple programs in workforce development.
• Facilitation experience with teens/young adults.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Recruit, coordinate, and facilitate programs for Madison-area high school youth and assist with program evaluation.
• Mentor youth to ensure positive employment experiences and ongoing learning.
• Develop employment opportunities with businesses for youth placements.
• Support relationships with external partners, including Madison Metropolitan School District.
• Network with businesses, community, school personnel, and families to promote programs.
• Maintain written records and computer database.
• Perform other tasks as requested.
