Job summary

CASES in New York, NY seeks an Employment Specialist to support ACES participants (ages 16-24) in job readiness, vocational training and placement. The role requires in-person and community-based work across NYC, with a 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM shift, Monday to Friday.

Salary is $65,000 annually, with strong benefits and opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of youth work, experience with justice-involved youth, excellent communication, and a valid

Qualifications

• 2+ years of work with youth and/or young adults is required.
• Experience with justice-involved and/or opportunity youth is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Valid tri-state driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized job coaching, employment planning and career counseling.
• Design and deliver engaging workshops on resume building, interview techniques and workplace etiquette.
• Assist participants in job searches using online portals and networking.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to develop personalized job search plans.
• Travel within the community to meet participants at homes, workplaces or events.
• Guide participants toward professional credentials and certifications with partners.
• Escort participants to job fairs and networking opportunities.
• Lead coordination and logistics for employment events, job fairs and outreach activities.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation in databases on attendance and progress.
• Maintain communication with referral partners to ensure successful placements.
• Participate in professional development and stay updated on workforce trends.
• Stay informed about best practices to enhance service delivery.
• Other duties as assigned by Team Leader or Director
