Job summary

CASES' Education, Career, and Enrichment (ECE) department seeks a Senior Youth Worker for the ACES program in South Bronx/Harlem. The role builds transformative relationships with young men ages 16-24, guiding them toward education, vocational training, and employment within a community-focused setting.

The position is full-time, with hours 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, located at CASES sites in New York City; salary is $66,957.80 annually, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Deep passion for working with youth and young adults impacted by the criminal legal system.
• Willingness to adhere to an evolving model of ACES.
• Belief that participants, community members and team members can change.
• Strong communication skills in interactions with youth and families.
• Understanding of the environments ACES serves and the communities they live in.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive a 15-passenger van.

Responsibilities

• Develop trusting/transformative relationships with youth referred and found eligible for ACES.
• Be the first point of contact for new referrals.
• Have contact with youth 2-3 times per week in person in the community.
• Escort participants to appointments.
• Participate and co-facilitate in-office programming including Peace Circles.
• Use program database to track work and measure performance.
