EASTCONN EASTCONN Adult & Community Programs - Community Learning Center in Windham, Connecticut is seeking a Youth Employment and Training Case Manager to provide career planning advisement to young adults in Eastern Connecticut. Location includes the Community Learning Center - Danielson and Willimantic; full time, 35 hours, with benefits.

Qualifications

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Provide career pathway guidance (post-secondary education/training & employment).
• Track and monitor progress of project based on goals and objectives of the grant.
• Raise awareness of industry driven/in demand careers, training opportunities to high school staff & young adults, and other appropriate individuals, agencies and businesses.
• Lead in the recruitment, orientation, matching, of individuals in work based learning activities.
• Provide person centered case management services, including supportive services.
• Administer comprehensive career assessment tools which may be industry specific; skill/aptitude-specific; interest inventories; & other tools relevant to customer needs.
• Work with individual employers to identify available mentoring, and/or job opportunities.
• Assist individual students to develop educational and career plans.
• Perform other duties as required and/or directed.
• Flexibility to work at multiple sites is preferred.
