Job summary

SWYFS in Seattle is seeking a Case Manager for the Open Doors HB 1418 Youth Reengagement Initiative. You will provide case management, assessments, referrals, advocacy, outreach, counseling and support to high school students at risk of dropping out.

The role focuses on helping students complete a diploma or GED and transition to post-secondary education or employment through intensive reengagement strategies.

Qualifications

• BA preferred in social work, education, counseling, or related field with 2+ years direct multi-service experience.
• Knowledge of juvenile justice court systems and navigating youth resources.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.
• Experience providing referral, advocacy & case management services.
• Valid WA State driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Internet.
• Ability to communicate in English, written and verbal.
• Ability to implement community outreach strategies to recruit students.
• Strong time management and flexibility to adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and collaborate with schools, employers, colleges, and agencies to engage youth.
• Recruit students and conduct comprehensive needs assessments.
• Develop Individual Student Learning Plans with instructors.
• Provide career guidance, employment assistance, and referrals to social and health services.
• Advocate for youth and connect with services to remove access barriers.
• Track performance outcomes and maintain student records.
• Coordinate support groups and be available outside regular hours.
