Job summary

Justice Resource Institute seeks an Education Coordinator to support Education Director with administrative tasks and education-related systems for Centerpoint and Merrimack Center. You will assist in classrooms and residential settings, ensuring trauma-informed care for youths with mental health and behavioral challenges.

The role requires 21+ years old, supervisory experience, and 3+ years in Special Education with youth.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Special Education license preferred but not required.
• At least 1 year experience as a supervisor and administrator.
• At least 3 years of experience working in Special Education with young adults with emotional disabilities.
• Candidates with experience working with adolescents in an alternative school setting or treatment program are preferred.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Support students and staff in the classrooms and residential milieu as needed.
• Compile written reports (including IEP progress reports, treatment reports, rounds), cover classes for teachers when they are out, and support Education Director with tasks.
• Provide student supervision, educational groups and educational field trips as appropriate for individuals/groups of students.
