Job summary

The Salvation Army’s Quincy Kroc Center is seeking a Youth Driver to transport school‑aged children to and from the center, while keeping safety a top priority and maintaining a friendly, welcoming demeanor. You’ll follow routes, ensure on-time pickups, keep the vehicle clean, and report maintenance needs promptly.

This role emphasizes reliability, empathy, and a passion for working with kids, with a weekday schedule from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM and additional summer hours possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Clean driving record (no tickets or accidents in last 3 years).
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible with great attention to safety.
• A love for working with kids and a friendly, positive attitude.
• Patience, reliability, and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport school-aged children from local schools to the Quincy Kroc Center.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of kids during every ride by enforcing rules with care and positivity.
• Be a friendly, trusted adult who brightens their day with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
• Follow scheduled routes, ensuring on-time pickups and drop-offs.
• Keep the vehicle clean and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain a positive, calm atmosphere while adhering to all traffic laws.
