YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the Human Resources team and lead day-to-day recruitment, onboarding, and retention of youth development staff, with a primary focus on licensed childcare programs.

You will manage the full recruitment cycle for assigned youth development positions, collaborating with Childcare and Youth Directors to fill roles efficiently with mission-driven talent in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; HR-related education preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of recruitment, talent acquisition, or staffing experience.
• Experience with licensed youth development programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead full recruitment cycle for youth development positions, including posting, candidate communication, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Coordinate interviews and manage communication with candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate pre-employment requirements and onboarding activities to ensure smooth start for new hires.
• Partner with program leaders to understand staffing needs and fill roles efficiently with mission-driven talent.
• Attend job fairs and community events to support recruitment efforts.
