Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids seeks a strategic Vice President of Youth Development & Childcare to guide all youth services, childcare, and related programs. Reporting to the COO, you will shape regional impact through district partnerships, licensing compliance, and program expansion.

This exempt, full-time role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with school districts, funders, and community partners, and driving enrollment and growth aligned with YMCA goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Early Childhood Education/Education, Human Services, or Social Services.
• Ten years of progressive leadership experience in youth development or licensed childcare.
• Experience in staff development, budgeting, and fiscal management.
• Proven ability to establish partnerships with school districts, funders, and community partners.
• Knowledge of state licensing and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop youth development and childcare programs across multiple sites.
• Manage the department budget and ensure financial sustainability.
• Build strategic partnerships with school districts and community partners.
• Recruit, coach, and retain a diverse leadership team.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, regulatory, and YMCA standards.
• Collaborate with Marketing for program promotion.
• Guide curriculum development and program growth.
