Good Samaritan Community Services in Brownsville, TX seeks a Youth Development Professional to deliver age-appropriate curricula, supervise recreation, chaperone field trips, and assist with daily program operations to help youth gain academic and personal skills.

This part-time, hourly, non-exempt position (25 hours/week) runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM. CPR certification is required or obtainable; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of college in Education, Social Sciences, or Kinesiology preferred.
• One year’s experience working with youth preferred.
• Current and valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain before start date.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate adherence to the CORE values of Good Samaritan Community Services.
• Develop and deliver curricula and write age-appropriate lesson plans per the YTS model; assist with assessments.
• Supervise structured and unstructured recreation and chaperone field trips as needed.
• Track daily attendance in program activities and oversee scheduled participant mealtimes.
• Input required program data into appropriate data system(s) as needed.
• Report significant incidents to the immediate supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
