Good Samaritan Community Services in Brownsville, TX seeks a Youth Development Professional (Part-time) to engage local youth with age-appropriate curricula, structured recreation, and field-trip chaperoning, aiming to support academic and personal growth.

This 25-hour-per-week role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, a valid driver's license, and bilingual English/Spanish preferred, with travel to client locations as needed. Reports to the Youth and Teen Services Department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some college in Education, Social Sciences, or Kinesiology preferred.
• One year’s experience working with youth preferred.
• Current and valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to client locations required.
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, according to business needs.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate adherence to the CORE values of Good Samaritan Community Services.
• Develop and deliver curricula and write age-appropriate lesson plans for the YTS program model; assist in assessments.
• Supervise recreation and chaperone field trips as needed.
• Track daily attendance in program activities and oversee meal times.
• Input program data into appropriate data systems and report significant incidents to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
