Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support KidsCare programming for ages 5–12. This role focuses on activity and program support in our school-based KidsCare location, promoting learning, social-emotional growth, and healthy lifestyles.

The position engages youth daily, fosters inclusivity, and helps create meaningful experiences that support each child’s belonging, competence, usefulness, and influence. Part-time AM & PM shifts are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrated competence working with youth ages 5-12.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to move continuously throughout program areas and lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise and engage youth during daily activities.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being by enforcing Club expectations and monitoring areas.
• Respond to injuries, emergencies, and behavioral concerns per procedures.
• Assist with attendance tracking, documentation, and program logistics.
