Job summary

Parkside KidsCare Youth Development Professional - PM at Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County in Goshen, IN, is a part-time role (17.5 hours/week) with a 2:00pm–5:30pm schedule Monday–Friday. This position focuses on activity and program support at the school-based KidsCare location.

Youth ages 5–12 will be supervised and engaged through creative, educational activities that promote learning, social-emotional growth, healthy lifestyles, and positive relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrated competence working with youth ages 5-12.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with high energy and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise and engage youth during daily program activities, maintaining full visibility and awareness of members at all times.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all members by enforcing Club expectations, monitoring behavior, and maintaining clean, organized, and hazard-free program areas.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to injuries, emergencies, behavioral concerns, and safety situations in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Support safe transitions, routines, and structured supervision in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Deliver fun, creative, and educational activities that encourage learning, teamwork, personal growth, and positive youth outcomes.
• Utilize Youth Development Strategies to foster members’ sense of belonging, competence, usefulness, and influence.
• Create positive interactions and meaningful experiences that support youth development and engagement.
• Encourage participation and help create an inclusive environment where all youth feel welcomed, valued, and supported.
• Assist with attendance tracking, recordkeeping, program documentation, and other assigned administrative tasks.
• Participate in required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with organizational expectations, safety requirements, and program procedures.
