Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County is seeking a part-time Youth Development Professional (PM) to support KidsCare programming for ages 5–12. This role emphasizes safe, engaging activities that promote learning, social-emotional growth, and positive relationships.

Hours are 1:40 pm–5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, totaling about 19.17 hours per week. The position begins August 2026, with onboarding completed before the school year starts. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrated competence working with youth ages 5–12.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with high energy and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise and engage youth throughout daily program activities, maintaining full visibility and awareness of members at all times.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of all members by enforcing Club expectations, monitoring behavior, and maintaining clean, organized, hazard-free spaces.
• Respond quickly to injuries, emergencies, behavioral concerns, and safety situations per policies.
• Support safe transitions, routines, and structured supervision in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Assist with attendance tracking, record-keeping, and program documentation.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
