Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida is hiring a Youth Development Specialist (Part Time) to support after-school programming at Lakeview Middle School in Winter Garden, FL. The role focuses on core program pillars, youth safety, and positive development.

The YDS will engage youth across activities, uphold safety guidelines, and collaborate with staff to deliver high-quality programming. Requires a high school diploma or GED; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in education, youth development, or related field preferred.
• Some experience working or volunteering with youth.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred; willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate activities in the assigned program area.
• Provide active and engaged presence to ensure safe, healthy Club environment and positive youth development.
• Track attendance, coursework, and behavior data; report findings to supervisor.
• Set up and maintain program areas; provide daily agenda and participation expectations.
• Maintain records of activities, participation, and notable achievements.
