Job summary

The Youth Development Specialist (YDS) at Horizon West Middle School in Windermere, FL, will support Club Leadership in creating an Outcome-Driven Club Experience across core pillars such as academic success, character development, health, arts, sports, and social-emotional well-being. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience with youth in educational settings preferred.
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate programs.
• Strong communication with youth, parents, staff, and partners.
• CPR/First Aid preferred; willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate activities aligned with BGCA pillars.
• Provide active youth engagement and safe, healthy club environment.
• Collect attendance, coursework, and behavior data; participate in meetings.
• Set up and clean program areas; provide daily agendas and expectations.
• Maintain records and report events, participation, and achievements.
