Job summary

The YMCA of Central Florida in Orlando, FL is seeking a dedicated after-school program supervisor for grades 6–8. You will supervise a group of children, build positive relationships with youth and caregivers, and promote the YMCA’s values in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities include coordinating activities, ensuring safety, communicating with school staff, maintaining attendance, and supporting special events while upholding emergency procedures and background checks.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; one year or more of college a plus.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 60 days of hire date.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of a group of children in an after school program (grades 6th–8th).
• Communicates program and student information with school administration as needed.
• Take responsibility for the leadership and guidance of a group of participants and safety/welfare of each child.
• Acquaint children with rules, activities, daily schedule, and traditions of the program.
• Assist with organizing and implementing activity plans for special interest activities and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
• Maintain attendance/headcount and report progress to the supervisor.

Education
