Job summary

YMCA of Coastal Carolina is seeking an Afterschool Site Coordinator to lead the daily operation of an assigned afterschool program in Conway, SC. Under the Youth Development Director, you’ll supervise staff, partner with schools and families, and ensure safe, engaging, high-quality programming.

You will plan activities, recruit and enroll participants, manage budgets, maintain records, and support fundraising and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in education, child development, recreation, or related field.
• Minimum two years in youth development with leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with data management and basic budget oversight.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the afterschool site ensuring safety and high-quality programming.
• Train, supervise, schedule, coach, and evaluate site staff and volunteers.
• Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios and staffing levels.
• Plan and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities for positive youth development.
• Maintain liaison with school staff, families, and community partners.
• Document attendance, assessments, and required records.
