Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington in Suitland, MD, seeks an energetic team member to support youth-focused programming across Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Education. You will help create a SAFE environment, promote participation, and mentor members to support their growth and well-being.

Responsibilities include program delivery, facility upkeep, and collaboration with staff for ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in working with children.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and direction for activities within a program area (Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, Physical Education).
• Create a SAFE environment that facilitates Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promote program participation and ensure the five key elements of positive youth development occur daily.
• Maintain facilities and equipment to ensure a productive and clean work environment.
• Provide guidance and act as a role model/mentor to assure conduct, safety and development of all members.
• Assist in new member registration and orientation as needed.
