Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers in Los Angeles (Little Tokyo Office) is seeking a Youth Development Manager to lead developmentally appropriate programs for middle and high school youth, focusing on Life Skills, Leadership & Advocacy, and Sports & Fitness.

You will design curriculum, train staff, support site teams, foster youth voice, and ensure quality across multiple sites with regular coaching and data-driven improvements; this is a hybrid role with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Youth Development, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of expanded learning/youth development experience with supervisory/training responsibilities.
• Experience designing curriculum and enrichment programming for middle and high school students.
• Proven coaching/training experience and program quality management.
• COVID-19 vaccination required for in-person work.
• Live Scan, TB clearance, and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Design, adapt, and refine curriculum and enrichment experiences for older youth.
• Lead and support staff training, onboarding, and ongoing workshops.
• Manage a team of curriculum developers and trainers.
• Host Middle/High School Task Unit meetings and promote collaboration.
• Provide site visits to model best practices and support curriculum goals.
• Facilitate youth focus groups and engage external partners to expand opportunities.
• Maintain curriculum library, assessment tools, and communication systems.
• Monitor program impact using feedback and data to drive improvements.
