Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers is hiring a Youth Development Manager in Los Angeles (Little Tokyo Office). This full-time, exempt role leads development and delivery of enriching programs for older youth across middle and high school, with a focus on Life Skills, Leadership, and Sports & Fitness.

The role emphasizes staff training, curriculum development, and cross-site collaboration, with a hybrid work model and occasional weekends. It reports to the Associate Director of Learning & Development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Experience coaching staff and managing program quality.
• 3–5 years in expanded learning or youth development with supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Program Development: design and refine engaging enrichment experiences.
• Training & Professional Development: lead staff training and onboarding.
• Team Management and Training: supervise curriculum developers and trainers.
• Task Unit Leadership & Collaboration: run Middle/High School Task Unit meetings.
• Technical Assistance & Coaching: conduct site visits and provide feedback.
• Youth Voice & Stakeholder Engagement: facilitate focus groups and advisory councils.
• Administrative & Strategic Support: align goals with the Associate Director of Learning.
• Performance Monitoring: assess program effectiveness with data-informed improvements.
• Data & Impact Evaluation: monitor growth and participation to strengthen programs.
