Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers is seeking a Youth Development Manager to lead high_quality, youth-centered programming for older youth in Los Angeles. You will guide program design, staff development, and program quality across multiple sites.

With a background in youth development and experience coaching staff, you will build curricula, support site teams, and center youth voice while aligning with the Woodcraft Way and LifeCraft goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Youth Development, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field required.
• Proven experience coaching or training staff and managing program quality.
• Experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse communities in Los Angeles.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite for planning and reporting.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for in-person work.

Responsibilities

• Design, adapt, and refine curriculum and enrichment experiences for older youth.
• Lead staff training sessions, onboarding, and ongoing professional development.
• Manage a team of curriculum developers and trainers with clear goals.
• Plan Middle School and High School Task Unit meetings and collaboration.
• Provide site visits, feedback, and coaching to model best practices.
• Facilitate youth focus groups, surveys, and advisory councils.
• Collaborate with the Associate Director to set program goals and timelines.
• Monitor performance using data to drive improvements.
• Support data collection and evaluation to show program impact.
