Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay is seeking a Senior Youth Development Professional to support after-school programs at Orange Grove Magnet School in Tampa, FL. Under the Club Director, you will help plan and lead activities that foster belonging, academic success, health, life skills, leadership, and workforce readiness.

You will mentor newer staff, assist with membership records, sign-in/out, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for youth.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required; some college preferred.
2-3 years’ work experience in a Boys & Girls Clubs or similar organization.
Plan and supervise activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
Complete the required 40 hours of DCF training within one year of employment.
Successfully complete organization sponsored CPR training within 90 days of hire.
Additional training may be required for continuing education and professional development.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning and leading activities focused on belonging and opportunity.
Help maintain membership records and support clerical tasks.
Mentor new Youth Development Professionals.
Prioritize member safety through active supervision and policy adherence.
Communicate effectively with members, families, staff, and visitors.
Maintain daily sign-in/sign-out processes and assist with program logistics.
