Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs Of Metro Los Angeles seeks a Youth Development Professional to plan, organize, promote, implement, and evaluate programs for upper elementary and middle school youth. You will lead activities in art, athletics, and academics while supervising members and promoting engagement.

The role emphasizes safety, positive youth outcomes, collaboration with staff and volunteers, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during school breaks as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development.
• Ability to plan and implement interactive youth programming.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements, monitors and evaluates programs to ensure safety and quality.
• Plan and lead engaging activities for upper elementary and middle school youth.
• Create an environment that supports Youth Development Outcomes.
• Maintain attendance and participation records.
• Assist with new program development and improvements.
• Supervise volunteers and staff helpers.
• Ensure supplies and spaces are organized and safe.
• Complete paperwork on time.
• Collaborate on outreach and events as needed.
