Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs Of Metro Los Angeles is seeking a Teen Youth Development Professional to deliver high-quality programs and mentorship for teens in grades 9 through 12. This role focuses on building strong relationships, supporting academic success, workforce readiness, leadership development, and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two years college preferred.
• Two years of combined experience or training with youth development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license; background and TB checks required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Experience with Boys & Girls Clubs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate programs for high school youth.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment that supports teen confidence and leadership.
• Mentor teen members and build positive relationships.
• Track attendance and engagement; report outcomes.
• Recruit teens through outreach in clubs, schools, and partners.
• Lead signature teen programs like Social Recreation and Keystone.
• Collaborate with schools and families to support teen development.
• Maintain records of progress and program activities.
• Involve teens in planning and decision-making.
• Assist with events, trips, and club activities as needed.
