Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Youth Development Professional for its Boys & Girls Club in San Antonio, Texas. The role plans and supervises activities, supports program outcomes, and builds positive relationships with members and families to advance our mission.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience with children and youth, and be committed to ongoing professional development including BGCA Spillett training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; experience with children/youth preferred.
• Commitment to participate in a Professional Development Plan including Level II & Level III training (BGCA Spillett 20 hours).

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities within the program area.
• Support and coordinate activities and events for the Boys & Girls Club.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with members and families to advance The Salvation Army's mission.
• May supervise other Youth Development Professionals in the absence of the Program Coordinator.
