Job summary

The Salvation Army in Houston is seeking a Youth Development Professional to plan, implement, supervise and evaluate activities for the Boys & Girls Club priorities: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship. You will work with youth and families, coordinate events, and provide supervision as needed to ensure continuity of program services in the unit.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Children and Youth preferred.
• Commitment to Professional Development including Level II & Level III Training with 20 credit hours.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate activities for the program.
• Support the Boys & Girls Club priority outcomes: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship.
• Oversee special programs/events and provide supervision to other Youth Development Professionals as needed.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with Club members and families to advance the mission.
