Job summary

The Salvation Army in Houston seeks a Youth Development Professional to support the Boys & Girls Club at the Houston Temple Corps. You will plan, implement, supervise and evaluate activities for youth in Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character initiatives.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and experience with children and youth. Must possess a valid driver’s license; commitment to professional development and participation in Spillett Training is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; experience with children/youth preferred.
• Commitment to active professional development incl. Level II & Level III Spillett Training (20 hours).
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate activities within the Boys & Girls Club program area.
• Oversee special programs/events and support unit activities as needed.
• Provide supervision to other Youth Development Professionals in absence of the Program Coordinator.
• Build and maintain relationships with Club members and families to advance the mission.
