Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with youth.
• Strong communication, patience, creativity.
• Management/supervisory experience.
• Commitment to five days a week during school year and summer.

Responsibilities

• Create weekly programming plans for grades K-5.
• Ensure safety and inclusivity; supervise activities, meals, and playtime.
• Use positive reinforcement to guide behavior.
• Develop problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Maintain open communication with parents about progress and concerns.
• Open and close program spaces.
• Maintain a stimulating, clean classroom and organize materials.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure a cohesive program.
• Promote an inclusive environment respecting diverse backgrounds.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and disciplining staff as assigned.
• Supervise employees; conduct 60-day reviews and weekly check-ins.
• Build relationships with parents via calls and emails.
• Assist with budget tracking for programming.
• Build daily/weekly reports as needed.
• Attend trainings and meetings; perform other duties.
