Job summary

City of Rockingham seeks a Coordinator Youth Development to lead a dynamic team delivering youth programs from the Rockingham Youth Centre. You will shape strategic direction, supervise staff, and ensure engaging services that meet community needs.

You will collaborate with schools and partners to amplify youth voice, implement programs, and manage day-to-day operations to keep the Centre a safe, welcoming hub for young people across the City.

Qualifications

• Leadership – high‑level skills coordinating and managing a team.
• Facility management experience overseeing a community facility.
• Youth sector knowledge including statutory requirements and ethics.
• Communication and strategy skills including report writing, grants management.
• Budget and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to youth development staff and programs.
• Oversee diverse youth programs, events, and centre activities.
• Engage schools and community partners to amplify youth voice.
• Coordinate day-to-day staffing, operations, and programming at Rockingham Youth Centre.
• Collaborate with City teams and external stakeholders to activate spaces and services.
