Queens Community House in Queens, NY is hiring a Youth Development Specialist to provide individualized case management, academic support, and career guidance for high school students. You will foster strong relationships with students and families, helping them plan for college, vocational training, or employment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field, 2+ years in youth work, and proficiency with Salesforce/MS Office; Spanish fluency is strongly preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, or related field.
• Minimum two years experience working with youth in school/nonprofit settings.
• Strong counseling, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.

Aufgaben

• Manage a caseload of up to 45 students and conduct bi-monthly counseling.
• Support individualized post-secondary plans (college, vocational, military, or work).
• Assist with FAFSA, CUNY/SUNY applications, and college pathways.
• Maintain accurate case notes in Salesforce; document attendance and progress.
• Coordinate workshops, college trips, and career fairs; connect families with resources.
