  • Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable using technology; proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support youth in the transition from high school to college or vocational programs.
  • Help students identify, research, and apply to colleges aligned with goals and academic performance.
  • Assist in writing compelling college essays, completing applications, and securing financial aid and scholarships.
  • Guide youth through reapplications for FAFSA, TAP, and scholarship renewals.
  • Coordinate SAT/Pre-SAT prep, track scores, and explore college options based on results.
  • Organize college tours for graduating students and facilitate exposure to campus life.
  • Develop and maintain individual post‑secondary education plans.
  • Collaborate with youth, families, JCCA staff, schools, and DOE partners to ensure smooth educational pathways.
  • Educate youth on all aspects of the college application and enrollment process.
  • Attend and actively participate in school meetings, including CSE, suspension, re‑entry, and permanency planning.
  • Liaise with NYC Department of Education and Advocates for Children to remove barriers and promote academic success.
  • Document all case activity in Connections (CONX) and Evolve in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Contribute to educational audits and reporting requirements for funders and regulatory bodies
